We Celebrate Freedom

|

Today is July 4th; the day in which we celebrate our freedom from Great Britain by declaring that we will no longer live under the authoritative rule of others. And yet, so many people still live their lives just like this. No our government isn’t suppressing our freedom but for two thirds of the nation, we are the slaves of our bosses, slaves to debt, and not truly free to do as we will.

I know this sounds pessimistic on such a celebrated holiday however this is the truth. We as Americans have more debt than our parents and their parents combined which in itself is a slave master. We must keep working in jobs we hate to continue to pay for this debt. And how many of you work for bosses who neither care for your opinions nor support anything you do but to do as your told? As a society, we are taught that this is the norm, starting from elementary school through college. You work hard in school to study a particular field and then you conform to society by working in the field you studied so hard for. How is this freedom when you have to work to pay off debt and work at a place where you are not allowed to express your thoughts or opinions?

Have you ever thought about being your own boss? Think about it. You are the one running the company. You are the one deciding how things should be done. Now that is truly freedom. It sounds scary believe me. Do you think during the revolutionary war that the patriots really knew how it would play out, let alone how it would end? No, but what they fought for was the dream they had to be free from tyranny, free from a life in debt, free from a life of answering to others. I’m not saying to go out and start a war against your government, but what I am saying is to take a look at your current situation and see how free you really are and see how happy you are living in debt and working for someone else. By all means, working for someone else isn’t that bad; especially if it’s what you love to do and if you have some freedom in completing your job. But for so many, living the life of a slave is not really where you want to be.

Steve Jobs once said, “Don’t be trapped by dogma, which is living with the results of someone else’s thinking.” This quote weighs heavy with me as I have been in that situation where I’m working for someone who doesn’t allow opinions or different thoughts on how to complete the task. Instead, they just want you to conform to their way of thinking and continue to produce results that make them succeed while year after year, you have to fight to even get ten cent an hour raise. Personally, I had enough of living my life like that and decided it was time to do something about that. I started this business in 2012 as a means to break away from the slavery of working for someone else and it was the best decision I ever made. Today, I am debt free (other than a car loan), I am a lot happier and can spend a lot more time with my family. For you, this could be your reality as well.

OK, so maybe you have decided this is it, this is what you want to do. Congratulations, I couldn’t be happier for you. But now the real question is, where do you start? Queue the rush of emotion and panic. The good news here is that you don’t have to do this all alone. There are experts in this field that have done exactly what you want to do. They are there as a person to guide and help you through all of this. That is why I started this company is to help others achieve their dreams. If you’ve made the decision to go down this path and want to get started, give us a call. We are here to help you. And once you have broke free from debt and free from the slavery of your job, you truly can celebrate your freedom everyday, not just on the 4th of July.
